Feeding Therapy

Feeding therapy is a type of treatment designed to help individuals with difficulties related to eating, swallowing, or food intake. This is commonly used for children, especially those with conditions that impact their ability to eat, such as developmental delays, ARFID, sensory issues, medical conditions, or physical impairments.
Feeding therapy typically involves working with an occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, or a feeding specialist who can assess the underlying issues and help the child improve their eating habits, address sensory sensitivities, develop the oral motor skills needed for chewing and swallowing ,or expand food preferences.
